Bio derma

Well hello there internet

Today I'd thought i'd do a review for you :)

Disclaimer : I'm not paid by anyone to review this (although if you want to.... ) and I'm also not an expert in pretty much anything.  This is just my opinion.

Now Bioderma is a cleansing water that aswell as cleansing your skin, also removes your makeup.
I heard about Bioderma from many.. MANY beauty bloggers and YouTube beauty people thingys. And they all talk about how much they love it! and seeing as though I was in need of a makeup remover (because my Clinique one was running out) i thought I'd try it out. But I didn't know where to get it from because it isn't available in the UK and i don't think it's available in the US either. It turns out its only available in France which I wasn't prepared to go to unfortunately.

So I did something I probably shouldn't have done which was buy it from Amazon.
Now the reason this is not necessarily a good thing is because when buying cosmetic products it's a little bit dodgy buying it from a website like Amazon or eBay because the person selling it to you (whether or not they seem legit) may just give you any old cream or water, at least that's the way I so i try to avoid buying things from online that can easily be ripped off baring in mind that most things from online can be ripped off.

Ok lecture over
So i ordered a small bottle just to test it out.

And it is AMAZING.

It gets rid of all the gunk (not just makeup) off your face and unlike some cleansers you can tell that you're skin is clean and it may just be me but it's literally squeaky clean.  I can hear the squeak!

What i also love about it is that there's no need to rinse.

Because I am not a fan of rinsing my face if I'm honest I do not like rinsing my face with water because I'm lazy.  I don't wish to to get my hands wet and get water in my eye and then have it do that annoying thing where it trickles down my arm.

I don't like it!

So i like the fact that I don't need to rinse with this.

All you do is pour it on a cotton pad swipe over your face and  voila!  With eye makeup (I only wear eyeliner and mascara) I tend to press the pad to my eye for a few moments.  Jiggle it about.  Then it all comes off when you wipe away.

There really isn't that much to say about this because it's quite a simple product.
All in all this is a great product but I don't think I'd buy it again just because of the fact it's hard to get a hold of.

Pros- it's great at removing makeup and makes your skin feel clean and nice.
Cons- it's hard to get a hold of because its only seems like its available in France. Unless you buy it off Amazon.

So question of the day:
What's your favorite makeup remover?

My Foolproof skin secrets!

Well hey there internet

Now, I am incredibly grateful for the fact that my skin has never been through any horrific phase of acne (thank you to whoever did that) but I have definitely had some phases where my skin has not looked good at all and when I was around 14 I definitely started getting spots so before they got any worse I thought ‘Nope. Stop right there!’

So before I get onto my tips I thought I might as well give you some background information.
I have really sensitive skin, so I hardly ever wore makeup because back then (even though it was only a few years ago) it wasn’t as easy to find lightweight makeup that not only wouldn’t give me an allergic reaction but was also budget friendly as I was only 14 and I did not have a lot of pocket money to spend. Even to this day I don’t wear eyeshadow because it irritates my eyes, foundation can only go on certain places on my face otherwise it will cause hives and make me itch like crazy and even my eyeliner can irritate me from time to time.

Therefore I thought the next best thing would be to have flawless skin so I wouldn’t really have to wear makeup baring in mind this is 14 year old me thinking this so I wasn’t the brightest spark.
As a result I have learnt some very useful tips that have sort of been right under our noses the whole time.

Now enough of this rambling!

Tip number 1- Get to know your skin!

Figuring out what sort of skin you have is an important factor in helping you get awesome skin. Seeing as though it is the largest organ you have it makes sense to know how it works and what type of skin you have whether you have dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin etc. You’ll probably find that you won’t fit into a specific category because you’re a mixture of all of them or some of them. Everyone has different skin so it doesn’t really matter if you’re skin is not like someone else’s.

So I spent a long time trying to figure out what my skin does on certain day or  how my skin reacts to different weather conditions or where I break out on a certain time of the month (if you know what I mean)

For example I have mainly dry skin but my eye area, around my nose and just below my lip are places that are really oily, the rest of my face is really dry and even flakes at times and on top of that my skin is super duper sensitive so when I buy products I make sure it refers to the skin type I am targeting e.g. the parts of my skin that are dry.

Tip number 2- Be healthy!

Like I said before, your skin is an organ. And whether or not there is scientific proof that certain foods help or don’t help your skin, there is no harm whatsoever in eating healthy, drinking lots of water and getting plenty of sleep. If you thought of it in terms of your other organs you may just reconsider your eating habits.
Let’s take your heart for example, if you were constantly eating fast food and drinking fizzy drinks and you stopped for a second to think about what you’re doing to your heart you would reconsider your diet wouldn’t you? Well it’s similar to your skin.

No I’m not saying that you should stop eating chocolate because I would never be able to do that myself but I know when I changed my eating habits I, at first, substituted something not so healthy with something healthier like fruit.

Tip number 3- Switch it up!

If you have been sticking the same routine for quite a long time then try to switch it up. Sometimes my skin can get too used to a product if it’s been used a lot. It’s like my skin is saying ‘been there, done that’ and it’s almost as if they become immune to whatever I’m using so whenever I run out of a product I try to opt for something new instead of going back to the original product, unless it’s really good.
Also if a product is not working for you then don’t use it! It doesn’t matter whether everyone is raving about, if it’s not working for you now (and I mean it makes you break out more) then it won’t really work for you a week or a day or a month later.

Tip number 4- Be patient!

As much as we want it to, our skin will not miraculously look flawless overnight.

Be patient when finding your perfect skin routine. Be patient when eating and being healthy, that one day you were healthy does not mean you don't have to be healthy for the rest of your life. Keep going and persevere. You may not notice it at first whether you’re skin is improving but other people will and when they compliment you saying “you have great skin!” then you know whatever you’re doing is working.

But it doesn't mean you stop once you think everything is ok, make sure you're routine is regular and that you don't slack in any areas.. You want to keep your skin looking amazing don’t you?

So there are my tips! Notice how these tips aren't a specific thing I'm telling you to do because for all I know you could have the complete opposite reaction to anything I do to my skin in terms of what products I use and how often I use them.

In conclusion, to answer the question “what’s your skin secret?” I would say that for me there is no secret, it’s just paying a little more attention to the solutions we have right under our noses.

Question of the day: What would you say is your skin type?

Hey there internet part 2

Well hey there internet!

My names Noreen
here i am:

What a poser!

for those of you who are new to here, WELCOME!

if you've come from my old blog, welcome back :)

Ok so whether you're new or not here's some stuff about me

i made this blog because i wanted to start again with things, i felt as if my old blog didn't excite me anymore and it may also have something to do with the fact someone had used my blog name in a .com so I probably wouldn't have been able to change my URL to a .com if I wanted to.

But that wasn't exactly the main reason. It just made me reconsider things

so the internet is a huge art of my life, like ever since i was little and used to go to my grandmas house to use the computer in her house.

I'd say ever since i was about 11(probably younger but I'm not sure)  I've been hooked on YouTube and the internet in general and that escalated over the years into a huge addiction that i am not willing to stop.

so it's taken me a LONG time after watching videos and reading blogs for me to realise "hey...i should try this"

so i made floral geek

and that was pretty cool for a while but I wasn't motivated to take it further

so i thought scrap it and I started again.

and here it is!

so how about some facts about me.

  1. I'm 17 . My DOB (for all my fellow creepers out there is the 30th May 1997 so yeah....while i'm writing this I'm currently 17
  2. nationality: I'm Bri'ish (aka British) but my ethnicity is Bangladeshi (Google it) so my parents weren't born here but i was! basically if you look at my picture you will see that i am not white.
  3. my interests are so varied that it confuses me, it also does not help with the whole "trying to find myself" thing
  4. I'm INCREDIBLY ambitious. sometimes it's too the point where other people think I'm a bit too ambitious but i frankly don't care what they or anyone else says. It is not a crime to want to be successful and I plan for this blog to be big and I'm willing to do whatever it take to do so.
  5. Like a lot of internet people, I'm quite an awkward person in real life, whenever i socialise with new people i try to act cool, end up making a fool of myself and hate myself for all of eternity.
  6. the two most common thoughts that run through my head
  7. I overthink ALL THE TIME. Like even while typing this my mind is going "is someone going to find that offensive?" "does that sound stupid?" "I just want to sleep" "i could do with some food" ....the latter two are always going through my head.
  8. i either have too many ideas in my head or no ideas at all
  9. my thought process is always being interrupted by some and i get really distrac....
  10. I can't really tell you my likes and dislikes because they are constantly changing but hey isn't that part of being a teenager along with the hormones, laziness/procrastination and constant need for food?
  11. I've run out of things to say
so this is my first official post i guess.

Question of the day
what are the top two things that go through your head?
